These band of musicians are a popular traditional in channapatna dolls. What makes them special is the finish and quality of the work. While most traditional dolls are handpainted, in this case there is a two step process of applying the colours. The wood is first turned on a lathe and then applied with the base colour using the traditional lac-turnery technique. This what gives our dolls a glossy finish. They have been painted with safe, non-toxic colours.
Each piece is made of wrightia tinctoria or hale mara, a safe and naturally seasoned medicinal plant wood. However not suitable for children. Please note that the colours may vary a little bit from the one in the pics.
They are available in two sizes, small and large. The smaller ones even have bobble heads (the heads shake).

CAREINSTRUCTIONS
Not to be washed. To clean use a mildly damp cloth. Avoid blows against hard surfaces. Please note that wood being a natural material reacts differently to atmospheric changes which is beyond our control.
