The Kathriguppes family of 4, is form and colour stacking toys. This game helps the child to select and stack different parts of each family member to form a whole. The respective colours aid as visual cue in this process. This is a montessori friendly activity as well.
Stacking toys help develop a childs motor skills. The ability to identify colours is considered a milestone in a childs cognitive process and is often part of early screening for development and educational admittance.
These dolls are gender fluid and can form a great medium to talk to your kids about what family is today. They can be used as an aid to start a discussion on non-heteronormative families and breaking the stereotypes associated with gender in a family.
