This traditional game is a fusion of two crafts, the lightweight, wooden pawns hand-crafted by our artisans from Channapatna and the beautiful mat, custom embroidered by Porgai, a producer group of Lambadi women from Sittilingi, Tamil Nadu.
A game of survival and strategy, Prowl vs Pasture is a two player game inspired from the traditional South Indian board game Hasu Chiratay. One player gets 2 tigers while the other player controls 24 cows. The tiger moves strategically to capture cows by jumping over them, while the cows attempt to block and trap the tiger. The game continues until the tiger captures enough cows, or is completely surrounded.
