This baby set is a creative collaboration with Sankalpa Art Village. The beautiful handloom Kora cotton is hand dyed with utmost care. They are hand dyed naturally with dyes like manjistha, harada, katta and more plant based dyes. What makes this special is the applique work, inspired from the cute toys designed by the women of Varnam Craft Collective.
The rattle in the pic is designed and produced by us using the 200 year of toy craft of Channapatna. Once again, the dyes used here are natural. The vibrant colours and sound of the rattle keeps your little one engaged.
This baby set is an ideal gift for a new born. The set comes with a Jabla , a bib and a rattle. And also a nice kora potli. You have the option to take a set of all 3 or even just as separates.
Sankalpa art village is a sustainable lifestyle company based in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. They, like Varnam, work at a grass roots level to revive our indigenous crafts that are on the verge of dying. They train women with the requisite skills to provide them a sustainable livelihood.
This product is available as a set of all 3 items. And also as separate units, the apparel set and the rattle separately. The color of the rattle could be any of the available colours with us at the time of order.

Handwash the apparel for longer life and dry them in shade.
Please do not wash the wooden rattle with water as wood cracks when exposed to water. And the lac coating comes off gradually.
To clean use a piece of damp cloth and then clean off with a dry one.
The lac coating chips on impact against hard surfaces.
