Our attempt to reinterpret the traditional toy craft of Channapatna translates to these one-of-a-kind statement lighting pieces.
The STHAMB lamp bases are inspired from the lathe-turned Hoysala pillars of the Halibed/Belur temples of North Karnataka. They hence fit into any contemporary setting and make great bedside table lamps especially in pairs.
Our fittings are of export quality. The cylindrical shade is made of handmade paper with petals of the beautiful marigold flower. The shade emits light that is quite dramatic. Please note that the colour of the petals and leaves on the paper may vary a bit depending upon the availability of paper. Also some of the petals and leaves may fall off when you open the plastic sheet around it and this is normal. The wooden base is made of Wrightia tinctoria, a medicinal plant and handturned in Channapatna, Karnataka.
PLEASE NOTE
The prices indicated are for the individual pieces (lamp base/ shade) and also for the set. You can buy just the lamp base or the shade as separates or as a set.
