Inspired from ‘ the sound boxes’ activity, these are part of the auditory sensorial area of the Montessori classroom. They focus on refining a child’s auditory sense, to make the child consciously aware of sounds and to train the ear. Enclosed in the wooden box, you would find 10 chirpy birdies, five of them in yellow and five in red. They are partially filled with different substances to make different sounds, ranging from loud to very soft.
How does it help?
This Montessori material helps a child refine his or her auditory senses in a controlled and engaging way. The material ‘isolates one difficulty’ by making the birds identical to each other, except for the sound they make when shaken, ultimately practicing sound discrimination.
Best Suited for children above 3.5 years.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS ~ Please clean with a clean piece of cloth. All lacware products must be kept in shaded areas and must avoid direct exposure to sun. Avoid impact against hard surfaces as the lac coating may chip. Please do not wash these items as they are wooden and the colour will peel.
