Nuno felting is a textile-making technique that combines fine wool fibres with a thin woven fabric such as silk. Through wet felting, the wool fibres migrate through the fabric and interlock, creating a strong, textured textile with a subtle luxurious feel. Needle felting uses fine barbed needles to bind wool fibres together, helping build shape, detail and raised surface textures by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce the felting is complete, delicate\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003eCrewel embroidery\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eis added by hand on the surface, bringing in another celebrated craft tradition of Kashmir.
